07 800r Crank Run Out

What should the spec be on an 07 800r for the crank run out and can anyone tell me step by step how to test/measure that run out? Thanks in advance.

.003 You need a dial indicator with a magnetic base. Take the clutch off and set up the indicator on the end of the crank. Take the plugs out then have someone pull the motor over. If good drink some but if out of spec get out the wallet

I find it more accurate to turn the motor over with the clutch bolt. After the clutch has been removed install just the bolt and use a socket and ratchet. Turning the motor with the pullstart seems to rock the motor too much for me.

Thank you both for the guidance. Anyone have a pic of the dial indicator on the crank? I am pretty sure I understand based on the feedback already given but a visual would be just great to make sure. Thanks everyone.

It also helps to warm motor first, It will rotate smoother and give a more accurate read,A cold motor will be harder to rotate with clutch bolt and will move at motor mounts
