07 800 iq flooding out

my 07 800 floods out when it sits. It is really hard to start and When I finally get it to start is spews fuel out the pipe.

Is it in the fuel pump or in the carbs? I seem to remember when I turn the fuel line off it still does it. MAybe its a bad diaphram..or sticky floats...

Any Ideas?

If it's not important, why even mention that it's an 07 800 in the first place? You are asking for help and being a prick to folks that can possibly help. Doesn't make sense.

BTW, I'd be looking at the the needle float assembly for the culprit.

year and make of a sled makes a big difference. During that year there were fuel injection and carbed sleds. fuel systems were different

sorry guys. not trying to be a prick at all..I apprecitate the feedback. It is a carbed 797 built off the '07 600 HO. I just rebuilt the entire motor and it literally leaks fuel all over my garage when the tank is full and loads up like crazy when it sits even for a few minutes...

Ill take a look at the needle float assembly...

appoligy accepted....split your fuel system in half to start...turn off the fuel shut off valve..also loosen your gas cap let it sit for the night and see if it is still leaking..try to trace the leak. There was a recall for gas tanks that would leak at the filler neck. by shutting off the fuel try to ruel out is the leak before the shutoff valve or after..then go from there. Sometimes the simple stuff is often over looked and we spend hours going over the high tech. stuff only to find out a problem may have been a bad hose clamp.

Manufacturer/Importer: Polaris Industries Inc., of Medina, Minn.

Hazard: The fuel tank filler neck can crack and separate allowing fuel or fuel vapors to leak from the fuel tank. This poses a fire hazard to consumers.

Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received 1,048 reports of the filler neck cracking or leaking. No injuries have been reported.

Description: This recall involves certain model year 2004-2007 Polaris snowmobiles. The model number and serial number (VIN) identification decal is located on the right side of the tunnel underneath the seat. See the chart of model numbers included in this recall.

I thought the filler neck issue was an edge chassis problem... my wife's 04 600 switchback was under that recall and it did have the neck crack, and got a new tank. Could be more than the edge though, but it is a completely different design. Plus I don't think a leak at the gas filler neck would not cause runability issues like those described.

It is definitely getting into the motor...it does hydrolock itself after it sits overnight as well...real pain in the a** to get started. Plus I'm afraid i'll eff up the crank if it keeps this up.

fuel

appears to be needle and seats...pump is tight and filler is not cracked.

we own two 600s had to re vent the tanks ,polaris uses a one way check valves for venting which do not work. ours would blow the cap right off if you werent holding it tight when taking it off. this also puts pressure in the carb.
