07 800 electrical question

I didn't ride but my daughter rode sat. and she said the hand warmers and headlight weren't working. stator or square relay I replaced the relay last year but did not seal the contacts. any thoughts. Thanks Erik

ok so after riding yesterday I have a better idea of what's goin on. The tac, idiot lights, hand warmers, headlight are all acting up. I replaced the relay with the napa ar143 no change. While riding I would turn the warmers off and things acted normal, when idling that tac would drop to zero and engine lights would come on. So while running if I turned on warmers then the lights and tach would act up oh also reverse would not work at times either.

So now I'm thinking voltage regulator or stator? any thoughts or experience with this.

Sounds like you possibly have a couple issues,,,,,,

If the idle speed is too low.....you will not have the power for the tach/lights/etc....and when put in reverse the engine will die.

The hand warmers could be shorting out and causing a large current draw.
