Like the title says, I have a low end bog on my 700. it is usually for the first 3-5 minutes of running the sled, but can be annoying. If I shut the sled off on the mountain, it comes back, even with the engine hot. I have an SLP pipe and can on it. It has 4200 miles, but good compression. I just noticed this starting last year. I maintin the sled, and the valves are clean and the hoses are clear. I am hoping someone has experienced this before, and can lead me in the right diretcion. This has been a perfect sled with this exception.

I appreciate all of the help anyone can give me.

Thanks....

Have you changed the fuel filter? Does it smoke bad on restart? I haven't heard of others having this issue so I'm curious to see what the diagnosis ends up being.

i don't know if the filter is changed, I have head the dealer service it every fall, and complete the rest myself. I would think the filter would affect it more at full open throttle. It does smoke at the first start, I will have to look and see if it does on restart. I have always added a cup of oil to the tank during fillups....

I know you said the exhaust valves are clean, but did you check;

1) Exhaust rubber bellows for rips/tears

2) broken exhaust springs

3) plugged orifice in the exhaust valve housing

Kraven may remember all the details but when the 07's first came out many were having the bog problem that was from a vapor lock in the fuel lines. The fix was adding an intank fuel filter to the line and maybe some other plumbing. I want to say that Polaris eventually issued a recall on it but by that time everyone had it fixed. I think I got my stuff from Jack Struthers at Carl's but when I took a look it was only Napa stuff.

Maybe someone on here can remember the specifics or ask your dealer to run all the service bulletins on it. I'll look back in my sled binder and see what notes I have on it. Good luck. EW

Thanks, That is good to know. any additional info would help. This has been a great sled, all I have ever done to it is change 1 belt and add front shocks from a pro.....

When I bought my 07D7 Brand new it had that dreaded FALL ON IT'S FACE bog between 5000-6000 RP.M.

Almost felt like some one hit the kill switch, it was actually that bad.

Dealer insisted the fuel-vapor separator (inside the tank) was the fix. They covered that under warranty (when the sled was a month old) along with a T'stat. Made absolutely NO noticeable improvement what-so-ever.

Then the dealer offered a re-flash, but cautioned that the last customer they did it for wasn't happy with it, so I passed, and still have the original programmed e.c.u.

Next season, installed the PC-3, RICHENED up approx 7-10% between 5000- 6000 RP.M. and that cured it perfectly.

Hey guys,
Ya, my sled does the same thing (08 700 rmk dragon) bogs when its cold and if I shut it off on the hill for a few minutes or longer, when I start it back up it bogs at low rpm but just for the first couple times hitting the throttle. I've just ended up dealing with it, other than that it's a flawless sled.

I'd be interested to see what ENGINE TEMPS are at when the problem occurs.

As a GENERAL rule, if it bogs, it's LEAN.

Perhaps the engines are cooling down faster than you realize??????????

Don't know just throwing it out there to monitor the temp next time when it re-occurs
