07 700 dragon airbox

I just bought my son a 07 700 dragon with 1300 miles and with $1000.00 dollars of accessories anyways i was doing a little inspecting and cleaning the air box on these sled they must be junk because the throttle body was full of belt dust and so was the reeds . has anybody tried updating the air box to a 09 or 10 700 or 800 air box . any help to sealing this 2 piece air box would be great.

I used foil heat tape. Seems to work fine. Some people have used silicone or duct tape too. I also put a thin strip of weather stripping along the lower edge where the box attaches to the plate that mounts to the throttle bodies. The piece with the push pin in it. Sorry I can't describe it better.
I believe you can update to the newer airbox. I don't think it is a 100% fix though.
While you are in there, make sure your throttle body boots are in good shape too. They have a habit of de laminating from the aluminum plate.

that whole airbox set up is b.s. in my opinion

i cant believe polaris builds their stuff like that, what a joke, and they are suprised when they have to do warranty work....
