ok...

kinda strange question, but dont know who else but the guys that run them..

a buddy of mine is looking for a CFI fuel pump assembly from an 07 700 CFI Dragon..

i know its a 4 bar pump, running 4 injectors.

---polaris part number is 2877695

i have been trying to find a use pump assembly for MONTHS, but no luck...

got to looking, i have an extra 05 rmk 900 CFI (2 injector) fuel pump thats a 4 bar pump as well....

---polaris part number is 2877695

is this the same pump??? and only difference between them is the injectors???

forgive me if this is a stupid question, but i only have RMK 900s...and have very little knowledge of the newer CFI sleds...

ideas?

i dont remember asking in the past...so if i have, sorry...i cant find the info if i did...?

no sir..

a buddy of mine (not local) is building an IQR but wants to use a fuel tank, seat and fuel pump assembly from an 07 700 CFI dragon..

i have or at least know where to get the tank, seat but no luck on the pump assembly...

seems to me if the part numbers are the same, they are the same pump. There should be a link to see all the Polaris vehicles that part works for. See if both the 900 and 700 are in there.

it shows the pump for both 05 900, and 07 700..

what fuel pressure does the 07 700 CFI run?

what fuel pressure does the 07 700 CFI run?

4 bar...same as the 2005 900 RMK's/Fusions/Switchbacks

The pump-flange-assembly (PFA) is basically the same from 2005/2006/2007 on the IQ RMK's. The 2006 uses a different fuel pressure regulator than the 05 or 2007

2006 900's and 700's are the only IQ-RMK's that run the 8 bar (116 psi) pressure... which is probably why there are more stator failures on the 2006's.... they draw about double the amperage as the other years.

If you have a 2006 assy, you can simply switch out the regulator.

The regulators on the pre 2011 Polaris CFi's are mounted on the return line in the tank... it effectively chokes off the return to allow the pump to build the rail pressure to the specified level (4 or 8 bar)

The 2005/06/07 CFi's run the same Airtex fuel pump. In 2008 Polaris switched out to a different PFA and used a Walbro pump (which will NOT make 8bar reliably).

ERIC..

as always..thanks so much for the detailed info..really helps out alot..

so just wanna make sure im straight here..

since i have an extra 05 pump assembly...then it should be just fine to use on the 07 700 then...same pressure, same 4 bar system, same regulator ect??

i dont have an extra 06 setup, just an 05..so should be perfect then?
