07 600HO Switchback Air box

I am in the process of putting in a SLP big air kit on my sled and would like to know if there are any tricks to getting the airbox to seat back on the carbs. It seems to be a pretty tight fit and can't get rubbers over carbs

With the SLP air horn, you now can fit your hand inside the box and feel for the carbs and help align them. Also with the other hand pull up on the carbs, not to hard but if you get them tilted up, it helps sliding them into the boot of the box. The 06 and up 600 are very tough to get the air box on with out folding the boots. But the air intake helps greatly.

a 07 switchnack should be CFI

The rubber boots.. clamps on the the Throttle bodys.. then the air boxs slids down till it clicks in..

Pretty easy..

The HO model is still carb'd. Stick you arm down the hole.......too easy.

Got it in finally. Couldnt get arm in cause I left horns in the box. Too late now but I realize that taking horns out would give it even more airflow. Without airhorns, isn;t there a greater chance of sucking something in?

No greater chance of suckin anything in. I did this mod only for the reason of installing the Air box. It saved alot of time IMO, especially when you did about 12 times a winter. I would pull it back out and gut the air box if it was me. Your not going to gain anything with the air horn installed and the guts still in it. Just my 2 pennys

One hand pull up slightly on carbs, other one slide airbox in place. Simple, you'll hate the extra noise if you remove shelf...

WD-40, steering to left (i think) and tug up on carbs while massaging boots around carb opening!
