07 600 HO High-er Output?

Ok so I've been reading through this thread all day, and I cant really find what I'm looking for.
I have a 2007 Polaris RMK 600 HO with a 144x2.
I want to know what the optimal clutching (spring/weights)/ and gearing would be for doing more deep powder riding and climbing.

Has a fresh top end on it.
Great compression.
But not the power I want.
I've always run 05 900's.
But I'm tired of the tuning,
So I picked this up cheap.

Aside from dropping a bigger engine in,
How can I get more power, betting climb-ability, and more acceleration.
Jets/clutch/weights/spring/helix/gears/reeds/ect.

ANY suggesting I will take in account (aside from the 660.685.727 if I had the money I would have),
And I would really appreciate any imput anyone has.
This sight has been the most hopeful thing I've ever used.
I go here before I go to my dealer.
And help would be great.

An SLP single is an improvement over stuck along with their clutching or EPI clutching which is the route I took on my '08. Much quicker overall and decent in the deep snow, I'd say much better than stock. But it still doesn't have the balls that a 700ves with an SLP pipe/can combo and clutching can do. My 600's, although great for my riding, cannot outrun the Pro-X2 700 I once had.

Would a 62 gram weight help better for the steep and deep?
What color spring should I use?

If I get a new 62/40 helix with black/purple spring from my old sled, can I still use the reverse?

Do V force reeds do anything for these sleds?
What about the SLP air horn everyones saying is a must?

What elevation do you ride...The 600 won't pull 10-62's unless you only ride at sea level...I like the stock black/green primary spring and add 2 delrin washers in the secondary....Gut the airbox , remove the top ring and add some foam to get a good seal with the hood

I ride at much higher elevation so I can't help with your tuning but the delrin washers are sold by SLP....They are slippery plastic washers that will help eliminate the secondary spring binding when shifting....The most important thing when deep and steep climbing with the 600 is to try and keep the clutches cool with lots of venting

Here is my set up runs great at 2,000' - the power will never match a 900, but this is about the most I could get out of a 600 with out going BB.

CARBS:
STARTER JET: 145 - PAJ: .8 - PJ: 45 - STOCK JET NEEDLE - E-CLIP: #2
MAIN JET: 420 - FUEL SCREW: 1.25 TURNS OUT
CLUTCHES:
PRIMARY SPRING: BLK 140-330 - SECONDARY SPRING: BLK/PUR: 160-240
1 DELRIN WASHER - WEIGHTS: MTX 65g - 3g OUTER HOLE
STOCK HELIX - BELT: 1115 - STOCK GEARS 19/41
BALANCED/ALIGNED&CENTERED/.020/OFFSET .030 FREEPLAY
STOCK GEARS 19/41
PURPLE EXHAUST VALVE SPRING WITH EV HOSES PLUGGED
TIMING 28DEG - OIL PUMP SET @ 50:1

RUNNING: SLP PIPE/CAN-TIMBERSLED AIR INTAKE-SLP INTAKE VENT KIT
V-FORCE REEDS - SLP PUSH ARM AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER COSMETIC STUFFS
LET ME KNOW HOW IT RUNS, I HAVE HAD NO FAULTS FOR A 600 RUNNING THIS! HOPE IT HELPS.....

I have done the following to my 600, and set up for 4-6K
60 gram weights, the clutching was done based on carls cycle set up. I had a buddy do it (he is a master). You can call them and they will get you hooked up.
SLP pipe and Can
SLP air horn.
Fbomb Track Mod (do it)
It has lots of get up and go, granted it is no 800, but for me when I hit the gas I have to hang on cause it goes.

@ MMBracing
How well does it shift with those heavy weights?
I was thinking doing 62-65 weights with an Almond spring.
But someone said it wouldnt shift unless I ride only sea level.

Anyone have a link/ or walk-through on how to install these washers?

Unlimited,
My 600HO has had no prob with the MTX 65g weights - actually love them, they come with a rivit kit so you can adjust your weight. I run a 3g in the outer hole and is fine up to 3,000. when I head to arctic man, I will just adjust a little lighter. MTX 65's would be close to running 60-62's IMO. as for the primary spring, I run the new black, same rating as an almond 140-330 - PN#7043342. Best thing I ever did was get rid of the Polaris pig jetting and lighten it up on the bottom, pilot and PAJ - whole new sled! I still run a '06 755 RMK also, but the 600HO RMK is just a blast to play with. Let me know if you need anything else.

Does anyone have specs at or near sea level, on a 2007 600ho 121".I dropped the main jet size down, also leaned up the air pilot jet. But I still have a hesitation right when I hit the throttle. Thanks BH

FLATLAND-
I do not have a chart on a stock sled, I am running SLP pipe now.Google search it. The best way I found to clean up the bottom end was to drop the Pilot jet to a 45, Pilot air jet to a .8 and check your fuel screw, stock mine was out almost 3 turns. try screwing it in to 1.5 turns out, then work it in by .25 increments. should clean it up, if not get back with me - see if we can't get her dialed for ya!

Another thing you can do to those engines is grind the inside of the exhaust port to match the inside diameter of the pipe.

In stock form, there is a 1/8" difference. I have talked to an old polars racer, and my polaris dealer (who has a 600 h.o. turbo) and they both said the same thing.

It lets the exhaust pressure roll back into the engine easier. I will take pictures tonight when i get home.

deep snow

I tried all the slp mods to my 07 600 HO ,but the biggest improvement was a 155 x 2.4 track ,it makes a huge difference in powder ,I used extensions and got a used track from the forum

Ok so I bridged the VES valves,
But everytime I push my brakes now,
Or I'm going down hill,
Or any rocking motions,

My temp light comes on.
Not continiously,
Just flashes.
Should I be worried?
