07-09 IQ vs. 08-11 Rev-XP Ergonomics for Taller Riders

Hey guys,

What brand do you feel provides the nicer rider comfort, room and ergonomics for riders over 6ft tall? I am 6'2 and 200lbs. Trying to figure out what machine lends itself better to a taller rider. The ergonomics when sitting on the machine only seem to tell half the story. The ability to throw your weight around, how the sleds handle gnarly terrain and corners cannot be gauged by simply sitting on them.

Since I am looking to purchase before the winter I will not have the ability to ride both. I know the rev-xp was a nice upgrade from the rev for taller riders and certaintly feels different when sitting on it but not sure how the IQ chassis lends itself to the equation.

I realize some might be preference, but I am looking for the majority consensus.

Thanks guys.

I'm not as tall as you but I'm fairly certain each sled will work for your height. I'd say it's more of a matter of which one you feel more comfortable on. The IQ is very tipsy (easier to get on its side in the trees) and the XP is more stable (makes for great hill climbs). Ride 'em and pick one.

Thanks for your thoughts. Unfortunately the biggest problem is that I dont have the luxury of riding them both back to back. Looking to make a purchase before the season starts and ideally before the prices start climbing 1k+. That is why I was hoping to get some opinions from others that might help solidify my weeding out process.

I'm 6'3" 240 and found the IQ chassis to be the first that actually fit my height. Foot placement and handlebar location/height has not been an issue and the sled goes where I want it to without major effort, unlike my previous Polaris gen II chassis or Arctic Cat sleds. I can't comment on the XP chassis for manuverability, I didn't like the way the handlebar swing felt and didn't give it a real chance.

Sleds have come a long way in the past 10 years and since you cant test them out prior to owning look at what kind of riding you are gonna do MOST of the time and match the sled to those riding conditions

In my opinion u will be fine on any of them. You may want to buy a handlebar riser if u find yourself hunched over while standing up. I ride an XP with a riser and it fits me very well. I have also rode the pro and cats sleds and have found them to fit me just fine. I have not spent much time on the IQ chasis but I imagine it too would work. Good luck.
