06 summit x no hand warmers. Can you help?

I am sure this has come up before. My 06 summit x hand warmers are not working anymore. The right side has the wires pulled out. Can I just put them back in? Do they need to be crimped or soldered? I think the left is bad too but I am not sure. Where is the fuse for them? Where do they connect to power?
If I need new ones what is the recomendation?

Thanks

They should have three wires for each handwarmer, they need to be soldered to the handwarmer itself. If it's just the wires, soldering them up shouldn't be a problem but if there's something wrong with the actual warmers you can buy them from any Ski-Doo dealer(shouldn't be very expensive I don't think). Otherwise RSI sells some high powered grip warmers, that are warmer than the OEM grip warmers, if that's something you need.

Both warmers should end up going into the same wire at some point at least this is how it is on most sleds I've seen, probably somewhere near the handlebar area or just below it. From there it should tie into the main harness. Sorry, I don't know where that would be on a REV chassis but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Sticking the wires back in will not cure the problem. If you end up going with new heated grips, measure the length of the grips you intend on installing. Some aftermarket grips out there are shorter than the stock grips. If you ever wanted to have different grips on your sled, you may want to look into a wrap style warmer that any grip can be installed over. They normally can be stuck to the bars then glue grips of your choice over them.
I don't believe there is a fuse on the resistive load wiring leading to the grips. Power comes from the stator through the wire harness to the switch.
Take an ohm meter and test each set of wires going to the grip warmers with them unplugged from the switch. If the meter reads nothing, of coarse, the elements in the grips are bad. If there is a reading, take note of it in case you intend on installing a grip warmer other than factory. Stator or voltage regulator may be damaged if paired with the wrong warmers.

Hope this helps you some

There are three wires coming from each grip heater that plug into the wire harness. They should be orange/violet, orange, and black. The black wire is ground, orange is for the low setting, and orange/violet is for the high setting. Resistance between black and orange should be around 8 ohms. Resistance between black and orange/violet should be around 18 ohms.

If the wires have pulled out, I doubt you will be able to repair them, but you can try to solder them back onto the tabs. Measure the resistance between the tabs to see which wire goes where. I have never had luck with my attempts to repair grip heaters. The left one may not work only because the right one is broken. Disconnect it and take the measurements. If they are close then it should be fine. There is no fuse in the grip warmer system.
