06 summit X 151 falling off RPM's, overheating

I was out riding for the first time this year and had some problems with my old X. Last year I had coolant leak from the head that was fixed with re-torquing the head. However, the coolant did take on a darker color from the oil that may have leaked it. That said, I never had a problem wit it over heating. Now, first time out,I was getting a water temp light over and over. The sled didnt appear to be over hot but i kept getting the light. It has the full slp power package.

I am thinking this sled needs major clutch work as well. I can only climb as well as a dragon 700. RPMs fall off during a climb. Last year I was having to feather the throttle on the trail so it would over rev just so I could keep it in the high R's while climbing? anyone?

Any one know someone who can solve this for me that lives in central oregon?

Possible air bubble in coolant system. Raise rear of sled as high as you can, start sled and bring to opperating temp. Blib throttle a few times to circulate coolant. Lower rear of sled and repeat process with the front in the air. As far as clutching goes get a hold of DJ ( Dynamo Joe ) or Winterbrew ( Rooster Built ) on here and they will fix you up.

For local clutching help in Bend you should Gordon at GRS snowmobiles, good guy, very knowlegable about clutching (his specialty) and he knows the local riding conditions. He tends to lean toward canning the stock secondary and going to a TEAM but he can definitly hook you up with whatever you want.

He can pobubly set yer other problems straight too, has his shop out near Tumalo, Google him or check the local phone book .

You have a roller secondary already with X modle just get ahold of Big John for a helix change and you good to go. HV

whos big john? Does anyone know if the SLP kit came with updated clutching? Or, how do I tell if it has been clutched for the slp setup?
