Whats a good brand for chain and gears to replace stock ones in 06 summit 800 X?

I put a chain from an '07 in mine after the stock chain on my '06 broke and sent me over the bars at 40mph!!

I put the 07 chain & upper sprocket (lower is the same as 06) 3 years on it without any wear at all.

I went with HYVO from Team Industries. had to buy new gears as well.

how many miles on your's when the chain let go?

She started a strange ticking sound at about 600 miles that I couldn't track down. Then at 640, I found the origin of the ticking noise while landing after a 50-60 mph take-off on a nice double jump! The chain was jammed under the bottom sprocket so bad that it took an hour to "beat" it free! I can't remember , but I must have changed the top gear to match the '07 chain like stated above. Fix it now!!

I bought a 15 wide from Big John. Good price and mailed it right to me. 3 years on it and no isues

you can get a 15 wide from doo as well but you need to run the 15 wide top gear also. the bottom gear is way strong enough.
