06 RT 1000 noise????

My sled seems to be running good but after riding for a bit at high RPMs and then letting it sit at Idle for a minute when i start to go again it hesitates a split second then clinks on the chain case side and gets after it. When i checked my chain case oil a month ago i pulled some metal shavings of the magnet just checked it again to night and a bunch more metal shavings were in there any help????

if it was me i'd pop the cover and have a poke around...........to start with anyway

Might be worth checking the tension--and if it has been running loose-loose--might just get a new chain and put in it--06 was a bad year for chains with Doo. And do this before it breaks--the 06's seem to blow the chaincase when it lets loose-alot of the Rev's had this problem.

Sounds like your chain or a bearing.

Mine was doing the same thing over this weekend and at the end of the day my chain broke! My dealer said it is a common thing so it might be a good idea to change the chain on it! $85 for chain and $25 for new oil.
