Just wondreing what everyone thinks or if they have had this happen. My 06 m7 will fire when pulled over but then immediatley dies again. My mom was riding it around our place and she said it was running fine then all of the sudden just shut off and then we couldnt get it started again.

Smart valves are probably shut. If you let it set for some time does it start and run?

You can reach into the tank and shake them, bang them off the bottom, whatever to get them to open again. There are two of them, one near the front, one near the back.

Usually due to water in the gas. This can be remedied in a couple ways, drain all gas and replace with good gas. I use iso-heat. Others refuse to use it. Search on smart valves and you will find other suggestions also.

Same thing happened to mine last year. When i got it home it still wouldnt start for a day or two. There is a lot of threads on here about this same problem. Everything from smart valves to brake light wire. Wont take you long to find some simular threads.

can't get mine running either

Can't get mine started either,I have 2 06 M7 so I've swaped out parts trying to diagnose, I guess I'll try the tapping on the Throttle bodies and cleaning the Smart valves in the tank before I swap the wireing harness. I was thinking my problem is related to the voltage because I'm only getting 3 volts on the red wire going into the tank.
tThat was untill I just pulled the cord and it started up right away , so to keep it running I played with the boondocker box, and while it was running the voltmeter ran 12-15 volts,then it died and can't get it started again. could it be the boondocker box? it seems to be getting to much fuel when it ran for a short time.
just thought I'd put my 2 cents in, maybe together we can figure it out, what is the voltage on the red wire going into your fuel tank ? It should be around 13v,

I ride a 05 m7 with a d&d 900ss kit, I only had half a dozen rides on the machine since i bought it when I cought a rock and thought I had hit the kill switch. . . but no start myself and a few other guys pulled and un-plugged with the same issue no spark the cure that time seemed when I blew the "water" out of the main ecu plug. . but that seemed a little funny. . It's happend one other time since then and we simply waitied about 15 minutes, and she fired no problem. .

I've now returned this machine back to near stock 700 jugs, because of a blown skirt what a mess. . had the engine right out checked all wiring and harness grounds are all good, hopefully we won't see the no start problems anymore!:beer;

Well still the exact same random no start issues as before I've gone through the wiring harness time and time again and can't seem to find a bad ground or a wire in bad shape. What I have is power to my boondocker box, no power to my digitron or gauge cluster / lights, though I have plenty of spark at the plugs. . . I'm getting pretty tired of screwing around with this thing. . . :face-icon-small-fro

H2O in gas

Try eliminating issues and move to the next. I have found some water in a particular gas station gas that will freeze up in my fuel lines. I heat up the trailer to get it to melt and flush the system out and get new gas. If you cannot get the sled into a heated area, get'er out in the sun to warm up.
Pull a plug and drip gas in, re-install the plug, pull it over, if she runs for a moment it is a fuel issue.
Good luck.
