06 M7 rear bumper

I have a 2006 m7 153" and i was wondering if anyone knows about a custom bumper or just something to get rid of of the stock bumper. I looked into the BDX bumper but i would like to keep my tunnel as normal as possible. I dont like the look of the stock black bumper if anyone has an idea or info let me know thanks.

Most people are converting to the 09+ style bumper. Another option is to buy just the 09 style bumper and build a cap for the cooler. That is what our M7 has right now but i think this next summer we are going to go with the van amburg bumper. Here is a pic, not the best but you get the idea.

Van Amburg gets my vote

I just put the bumper on my 06 m7 and glad I did. No messing with the coolers (if you don't want to) and the fit is universal to all m's. (mine is a 162) I'd recommend getting the VA tunnel rails or use the 09's stock tunnel rails with the stock kickups (they suck though - made from cast - I broke mine grinding it to fit into the 06 tunnel rails) or BDX kickups (some are reporting that they rip the tunnel FYI - There is a huge forum on this issue.

I recently upgraded to VE rear tunnel, which is by far the best quality I've seen. Prior to that I was running the stock plastic bumper modified as I cut off the full wrap around plastic handle pieces and replaced them with the 09 style stainless bumper. The stainless handle wrapped from edge all the way around back to the other edge and was much more sturdy than the stock plastic. Looked alot better too.
