06 M7 Need Longer A Arms

Guys,

I just put some fox floats on that are roughly two inches longer eye to eye. needless to say, this has caused my skis to toe out due to the a arms not being long enough. I have been told that the HCR a arms are longer and should alleviate this issue by widening my ski stance. My question is, are the bolt patterns the same on the HCR as the 06 M7? I'd hate to order the new a arms and the bolts don't line up.

thanks!

i could be completely wrong here but can't you just adjust the toe via the tie rods to fix the problem? is there not enough adjustment available there to fix the toe out? Just a suggestion

I'm not sure of the proper term for it, but I don't think he means toe out, what the CF floats will do with the M arms is roll your skis under so the carbide isn't perpendicular to the ground.

If you want more trial performance get a set of CF or HCR arms (same thing)

If you want more travel & better clearance look at west coast sleds, they make the holz arms which are the shortest you can go with the 19" I2I shocks.

btw, I run the holz/ west coast with 19" floats & it is phenomenal, great travel, more plush with good bottom resist, and the arms sit at a higher angle which makes them less likely to take a hit.

When I say toe out, I mean the bottoms of the skis are sitting at an angle and not flat to the snow. I looked at west coast sleds and their arms are the same length as the arms I got on which is a 41 inch ski stance. I need about a 43 inch stance. So with the 19 inch shocks, you're thinking these west coast/holz arms will solve my issue??

The arms you have are M arms (I assume, since Holz is the only one that makes 41" arms), they are 40" and can adjust from 39 to 41, the 41" holz arms can go from 40 to 42

We've done what you did, took floats off a XF & put them on an M, it's not a good thing, that angle makes the sled react poorly.

Like I said above, it depends on what you want to do more, for pow & jumping go with the west coast sleds (also 6lbs lighter than M, which are lighter than the XF arms), for trail, the xf or HCR arms work, but they're heavier than stock M arms by about 1-2 lbs (longer arm, and also have a hoop on the lower that adds weight)

The west coast sleds setup with 19" will bring the front of your sled up appx 1.5", you can allow more sag then & still have the same travel as the M.

After riding the 43" arms for a while & then going to the holz setup, there's NO WAY I'd buy a 43" setup, this just works better.
