06 M7 need help?

Hey where is the coolant sensor located at, on a 06 M7 cant find it? my buddys sled is over heating real fast and when he shuts it down and then starts it right back up it will run for a couple minutes and then the check engine light will keep flashing any help and advice would be great thanks.

It's on the bottom of the crank case under the thermostat. There should be a yellow wire sticking out from down there.
