Depends on what elevation the dealer clutched it for when he ordered the altitude kits waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 06. And seriously no one has made any clutches changes since 06 on this machine? Mine had 70 gram wieghts in it for 3-6000 ft. Theres a legend on the shock tower that will tell you what weights for elevations for the m7. my guess is also that whatever weight you pull out of that m7 isnt enuff for an m8 at the desired elevation. Good luck with that. Just order some proper wieghts for the 8................
I was going to order some new weights but im thinking i should replacemy clutch? It has just over 5000km on it! And im thinking the bushings and rollers are starting to wear out! I asked if you can replace them but nobody replyed?
Found this thred for ya looks like Racinstation rebuilds them http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166889 , if it has that many miles on it i would seriously consider a new one though you should be able to find a decent one maybe he even has one for a good price all balanced and set up, i had to buy a new one for my old zr i tried buying used i looked at 3 they were all shot weights had chewed the side of the spider on all 3 so i went with a new one, wasn't cheap but i had piece of mind. Clutches should be rebuilt and balanced every season so they will last but it looks like ac is making that hard to do these days.
