06 M7 Gearing

Mine is jammed in the corner under all the summer garbage right now shane. But I think if you pull the secondary off its stamped on the side of the diamond drive. Cheers Damon.................................

Thanks Damon. I'll have a look tomorrow when I get off work, f@#kin nightshifts :D:D.

At least you have internet there. I start nights on thursday and they wont give me internet because of all the sled p-o-r-n.................

Not much to do in the control room when things are steady. Yes we are fortunate up here with internet access, snowest makes the nights a lot more bearable.

57/63 is correct. I just upped mine to 59/61 as the 800 bigbore was walking the belt right out of the clutch. Shane, you might need to gear up your 900 as well. I probably could have gone higher.

Thanks Sheldon. What pipe/s are you running? Did you go with BDX gears?

Mmmmmmmm Gearing

you might want to search the old posts and threads on gearing down and gearing up and testimonials and advantages either way.

I'm running D&D twins with the single can. I tried them on the stock 700 and wasn't overly happy with them. I couldn't run any heavier weights than the 70 grams. But with the 800 BB, I'm running 75 grams and still over revving a bit, so it seems to be making some good power. And yes, I'm running the BDX gears. Got just about 5000 miles out of the stock ones though.

I really like the 10.4 secondary upgrade on the M7, made a big difference on my sled when running the y-pipe, pipe, can combo

John

Thanks for all the info guys. UPjohn I have the 10.4 on this sled and yes it does seem to work very well. Sheldon is your intake stock?

Thanks;
Shane

But with the 800 BB, I'm running 75 grams and still over revving a bit,

Did you catch that Shane, remember what I was saying a couple weeks ago on the mountain when we were tuning yer sled. About how it needs more weight . Sheldon's running 75's with an 800 Big bore and still over reving. Im having the same issues with my 900 D&D at 72 grams. I think we should order a couple sets of 75's. I learned this first hand from Kenny at Listers in Whitehorse, we're banging off the rev limiters and the efis are over fueling our sleds causing bogs and "broken thottle sensor" like issues. Id say its all coming together..............

on my sea level sled im running 77.5s atm but wil be going down more as im only getting 7600-7700 ( 7900-8k target)

this is on a full mod 925 Speedwerx, 10.4 65/ 55 ( i think ,, firecat gearing anyhow ) 1.6 track 44/40 helix cat ornge with shift assist, milled primary

I agree I need more weight Damon, but until I get it to run right it won't pull it. I have to get that bottom end bog out and I still think I can get a little more top end out of it. I am running 73.5 grams right now and I have a set of Dalton adjustable weights in my primary so I still have a lot more weight to throw at it once I get it running right. Yes it's coming together, but man it's just to slow.:D:D

I'm running from 4000 to 7000 feet approximately. I have a 162x15x2.5" track. My clutching is a stock primary with 73.5 grams right now and a gold AC spring. The secondary is a 10.4" with a D&D torsional kit, 36 degree helix and I can't remember which secondary spring I'm running (I'll take a look and get back to you). I'm running the stock 06 M7 gearing (something else I need to check). My 900 ET isn't full mod it's pump gas.
