Stock m7 with rktek secondary 73 gram weights and an mbrp can. Runs decent for the first 10 minutes until it gets good and warm. The bog happens when you are powering through a drift or are coming over the crest of a roller and hit the throttle. It will also do it from a standing start. Its a sputtery sound that i believe is a fuel issue. I have read tons of forums and it seems to be a common problem but havent found anything useful. Ive tried different cans (stock, D@D), changed plugs, new belt, cleaned power valves, apv cables correct length, inspected primary and secondary no worn rollers or broken springs. sled revs properly at the start of the ride anyways. I called a cat dealer here in saskatchewan and they said bring it in but its 3 hours away and just from talking to them over the phone they dont sound too confident and just say theyve never heard of a bog on a m7. Im going to edmonton on wednesday and i would take it there if someone would recommend a good tuner. Preferably someone who is familiar with the rk tek secondary.
Thanks in advance!

JBIZ, I have a 06 M7 153. My setup is slightly different than yours however the problem I had sounds the same. Every time I would hit the throttle, right around the mid section, it would bog, sputter and I would have to feather the throttle to get it to stop and sometimes that didn't work.
My setup is RKtek head, high flow air intake, SLP twin pipes, Boondocker box. It wasn't until I installed a Digitron EGT gauge that I was able to really find out what that sled is all about! I was able to properly adjust the fuel and the thing rips now with no bog or hesitation

Bone stock sled "shouldn't" bog like that- especially on a stock can. Have heard of it with aftermarket cans on SOME sleds, but not all. 73g seems light for weights, stock low elevation weights are 75g. Do you have a broken primary spring or anything? Hate to say it, but you could be in for a big bill at the $tealership as it takes time to test it all out....and time at most dealerships isn't cheap. Sorry I can't be of more help!!!

been going through some old forums and noticed one on the barometric pressure tube routing. I checked mine and it was routed incorrectly(into the belly pan) I rerouted it and will ride it tomorrow and give an update. As for the 73's i threw them in instead of the normal 75's to see if it would help pull through this bog but it hasnt and i think ill put the 75's back in. 38/36 rk tek helix with the duel spring setup.

M7 bog

Alright different settup on my 2006 m7 153 but ive got the same bog ive got a timbersled intake ive got vforce3reeds everthing else is stock i cant figure out my problem ive changed the belt and that helped for about 300 miles but now same bog. i cant figure out my problem ive gone though both clutches twice found minor problems but notheing major had them fixed still same bog even with the new belt it wasnt gone just less of a bog ive been told that wen the sled isnt running my belt should stick up about a 1/8 of an inch out of the driven clutch and mine doesnt its actually about an 1/8 of an inch in. Idk wat to do if anyone has ideas give me a shout thanks Riley

if your secondary is stock you need to add or remove the washers that are on the white plastic center piece in the center of your secondary until you get the desired deflection. help to hit the flipper between adjustment so the belt doesnt drop down into the secondary and get stuck between the sheaves and hold them open. remember that the plastic spacer is left hand thread. as for my bog i tried rerouting the barometric pressure tube and it didnt help a thing. Getting pretty frustrated with it, i just want a sled that runs normal!
