06 m7 AC or DC?

Are the 06 m7s AC or DC power? im installing an air fuel gauge and it needs DC power. I searched but didnt come up with if its forsure AC or DC on the 06 m7.

I'm not a 100% positive but I'm pretty sure the M7 is an all AC system. You will have to find a rectifier to convert it to DC, Koso sells them.

I have an 06 M7. Thought I remembered through reading various posts and threads that you can pull DC power off the voltage regulator behind the motor or the red wire at the fuel pump. I have a Koso AF gauge wired into the fuel pump red wire right now but the gauge apparently has a mind of it's own and only wants to work when it feels like it. That POS will be coming out this weekend and an AEM will be replacing it. Just hoping for better results.

Wire it to your fuel pump connection. It can only support enough juice for a single gauge. i have my aem wired there and works great. And they read sparatic until they are warmed up which only takes a min.

Where is DC

Don't want to hijack this post. But I have a similar question, trying to install a dual koso gauge on a 06 crossfire. Intially, I hooked it into the accessory plug located on the pto half of the steering support post near the key terminals. Gauge lights up but no readings and the background color pulses. I'm assuming this isn't DC and it must need DC.

So is there any dc current available to run a dual gauge?

Bought unit used, so not sure if its a current issue or the guage is junk. Directions with the gauge suck.

I ran a digatron EGT gauge on an 03 F7 with the accessory plug- not an apples to apples comparison but it SHOULD work. If you want, try tapping into the RED wire going into the fuel pump. That will tell you for sure whether or not you have a POS gauge or bad power. If I recall, the AF gauge needs GOOD power to heat up the O2 sensor, where EGTs do not require that much power to run.
