06 Crossfire 7 speedo going in and out

On my 06 CF 7, my speedo analog and digital goes in and out.

What could cause this, faulty gauge or connection to DD.

Also is their a senor where it connects to the DD, which side does it connect to the DD side or the brake side.

It's a fairly common problem on '05 Ms and '06 Crossfires - Probably need a new speedo sensor (#7) on the DD.

My o6 xfire has done that on 1 occasion, about 100 miles ago. Has worked fine ever since then, my first quess would be the sensor, but also remember to check for oil leaks on the DD. I have heard that the speedo quitting can be a sign of major probs. I am not going to worry about it because mine was just properly serviced and is not leaking. I think the sensor is like 30 bucks.
