Hot grips , thumb warmer, headlights, work .Hooked up a volt meter to the battery and with the eng running the voltage does not go up. The battery seems to be takeing a charge with a 2 amp trickle charger hooked to it. Will see in a bit if the battery charge stays up when I am done chargeing it. Any thoughts will help. Dino

Check all connections/grounding.
Should'nt be anything wrong with tha charging/lighting coil if lights and everything else works as it should.
Buy new batt if it does'nt charge.

Replace the battery.
I had the same problem, would take a charge with A 2 amp charger overnight, but would run down in 2 hours, no hand griop warmers, headlight very dim, engine started running like cr*p
Took it in to have it looked at, the battery was the culprit.(so they say)
The system on the 07 600 was charging, the battery was not taking it.
Doesn't make sense to me, but that is what the Xtreme guys told me.

I just replaced the battery in my 06 800 Summt Adrenaline. I couldn't believe it was toast, but I had the same issue, wouldn't hold a charge. Apparently these glass mat sealed batteries need a battery tender on them when in storage. I put mine on the workbench and charged it up twice over the off season, but it still didn't save it. It didn't hold much of a charge when I got the sled, but it had sat a lot with no charging since the original owner purchased it new........this was probably the real problem. Bought a new battery, we'll see how this one holds up.

Well I didn't do any maintenance to the battery over the summer "dumb" . Any way the sled turned over like a champ at the start of this season. The starting system has worked great so far up to this point. My concern here is that when I start the sled with a volt meter hooked up to the battery I would think I would see an increase in voltage if the charging system is working, weather the battery is taking the charge or not???? Please let me know how the new battery works for ya. We will probaly just buy another battery if I cant come up with an answer. Thanks for the info Dino
