06' 900 151" RMK upgrades?

Trying to help a friend out on his 06' 900 that he just bought. It is stock to the bone and still under warranty. I rode it the other day and wasn't very impressed on the power or weight.

What are the common mods for these sleds to wake them up but still keep the warranty valid. (I read that doing the y-pipe, pipe, silencer with re-map of ECU voids engine warranty).

Thanks in advance

Changing the driven clutch helix and spring is a must. Gear down the sled. SLP torque arm and pusher arm. Add ice scratchers. Remove the radiator and get rid of the giant suitcase muffler.

I have MTX clutch weights in the primary and it really woke the sled up too.

Almost forgot, take the top off the stock airbox and remove all the baffles. Those things should make it run a lot better without sticking a ton of money in it or voiding the warranty.

also remove the front radiator...

theres a million things to do, some more imp then others.

read the threads in the stickies...ecspecially the "read before you buy 700/900"

Yea I started a list for him

SLP silencer 09-278
SLP Airbox 14-285
SLP push-arm 23-60
SLP Torque arm 23-59

So, it sounds like I'm on the right track..Does the SLP Airbox include removing the radiator??

Yea, it def. felt like it needed some clutching.

Don't do the SLP airbox. I gave you the short and low cost list. If you want to spend some cash get the F & I intake.

Then add a Skinz bumper.

Or if you really want to take the sled apart upgrade to the 09 front end and that has a functional bumper too.

Two items I wouldn't do are the SLP airbox and silencer. Although the SLP airbox allowed my '06 to breathe well, I could not keep the airbox halves sealed and was getting belt dust into my reeds. IMHO, the SLP cans are junk. My can is in the shed with numerous cracks in it. Others have had the same problem.

I've got a whole slew of performance goodies for that exact same sled I'm selling.

But, SLP kit, Holz suspension, compfusion motor mounts ..

basically look at my 4-sale sled and any of it helps in some fashion or another.

Haha, funny you should say..I run an SLP y-pipe, CPI pipe and Stinger on my SKIDOO and love it!!! I will recommend that to him.
