06 700 very high idle

I picked up a 06 700 rmk for my girl. I tore it down, had the crank repacked by dougs balancing here in Denver and put a wisco top end on it. fired it up and it was vibrating like crazy. Back off the push arm and fixed the problem for the most part. When I had it off I set the tps base and idle voltage. .71 and .93

I am idling just shy of 3k. I checked the tps voltage and it is still at.93 and my throttle cable is turned all the way in. If my throttle cable way to tight my voltage would be high right?

Also when I was letting it do its warm up the welds on a brand new slp y pipe are leaking out oil need to call them on Monday( they reflashed the ecu for me if that comes up), if they are letting oil out of the welds they have to be letting air in. Do you think it is letting enough air in to lean it out?

I also noticed a little smoke coming out of the pto side powervalve hole. took off cover and does not seam to be a leak in the bellow no oil anywhere but I had enough and put it up for the night. I think it was just some oil burning off from assembly.

I also capped of the lines that go to the exhaust solenoid if that make a difference.

let me know what ya think

I'm not 100% certain but I'm pretty sure the throttle cable and TPS are related but separate meaning that if you adjust your throttle cable you will affect your TPS and it will need to be set but just because your voltage is right doesn't mean that the throttle cable is right. From what you are describing, it seems like your cable is too tight...there should be some slack at the fun flipper if it is set correctly. if it is too tight then the throttle is open allowing too much air into the engine causing your high idle.

I always set my tps with the cable off. When you put your cable back on double check that you didn't knock the tps out of wack. Tighten the cable nuts making sure you still have a little slack in the line and go have fun.

I set my tps with the throttle bodies off the sled bother hooked up. My throttle cable is set as loose as it can be. But if it was to tight it would be holding the blades open in the bodies and giving me s higher reading. Correct?

The SLP weld issue was VERY common, they. We're replacing a lot of them for free...hope you get the same treatment...some literally blew apart while riding, I was next to it when it happened, thought I got shot...haha.

I've had ts a issue before as well...after setting the TPS, the idle was crazy high and nothing would lower it except for loosening and raising the set screw you used to adjust the TPS. But if you move it too far, your going to throw off your TPS too much and may affect reverse..use this as last case if you don't find something Else..

Are your reeds and throttle boots mint with no chips and no cracks/holes?

Reeds looked great cleaned them up real well, and new boots forgot the brad but brand new. I even made a heat shield to protect them from the ypipe so they last
