Thanks to all for responses to previous posts I have made, always informative and helpful. My wifes 06 700 RMK appears to be leaking something (Looks like black sticky oil) I was thinking base gasket but another buddy was saying most likely y pipe gasket because of the nature of what is leaking. I originally thought y pipe but it appears to be spread around the base gasket on the front side only. I have not taken anything apart yet for a closer look. The sled runs good, the plugs look good, no coolant leaking anywhere. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance to all.

most likely y-pipe. Had this problem with mine also. Just get a new set of gaskets and when you put them on apply some Hight temp gasket maker/ silicone on both sides of the gasket. Should heal you right up!

I'd say ex. valve gaskets or y pipe also. The sled probably have running issues if the base gaskets were leaking, and it wouldn't be black like the ex. anyway.

Yep, I had this problem to and did what Nolan said. Also after the engine warms up you can re-torque the bolts.

Yep. Add me to the list. Black goo= exhaust. May be the gaskets between the block and the y pipe, maybe the seal between the y pipe and the pipe itself and blowing back at the block. In either case, clean it up, and seal it up with orange hi-temp silicone. Very common,

Double up the springs on the Y-pipe to the pipe.
Better fit (that's if the leak is there) plus extra springs - never know when they may come in handy!!

Thanks to everyone who posted, the people on this site rock. I appreciate the help offered everytime i post a question. Thanks again to all.
