Hey guys wanted to ask some advice on getting my clutch adjusted. Yes it is an 06 755 with some of the mods you guys suggested (Thanks for the efficient and effective advice!!) if it affects my clutching for the upcoming question as far as motor mods go there are not to many, have the slp air box and the aftermarket can. the guy that was going to adjust my clutch was asking the rpm i was pullin on the hills if im correct i set the "high rev marker" on the digital readout and was coming up with about 7200 is this right? Is there a suggested rpm that you guys have found that is a nice balance (pun get it lol) for this engine, and i should also replace "that spring" or any others as i will probably just show up with the parts needed. I'm pretty competant with working on this thing but just dont even want to touch that clutch...I would love to hear any extra information anyone would be willing to offer. Thank you in advance. Also for whatever its worth we live out here in the Washington mountains and I've beat on this sled as hard as i could, loved every minute of it and knock on wood havent had a problem with it(1500 miles). (oh and as far as all those tree scrapes down the side panels......um yah.....those musta been there already....riiight)

The max rpm in your display's memory is a little misleading sometimes, I have found that it often stores a very high max rpm compared to what the sled is actually running... as if it recorded a spike in rpm that never happened.
Your rpm while wide open throttle and climbing or working the engine hard is what you want to know. I believe 7300 or 7400 is near what you want with the 2-injector 05 engine, but hopefully someone who knows the 05 engine better than I will chime in and let you know for sure.
As far as springs go, I put fresh ones in at the start of every season, it's surprising how quickly they can start to soften.

Good points on the peak reading, I havent seen that since I have been on mine, but it is a good point still.

On the other topic... he said an 06 700, not 05, and in 05 the only sled that was an IQ was the 900, the 700 was still the Edge sled.

Anyway, ya, ideal is about 7400 above or below that is ok, but that is your ideal torque spot. Fresh springs will do good if your old springs are sacked out... it is amazing how bad they can affect things.

are you running a stock pipe?

with an SLP pipe/reflash you should pull 7600-7800rpms...my wife is pulling just that on hers (well i am when i ride it ;)) and its GREAT..

i think stock is right around 7300-7400 but not sure..

get a pipe, it along with the reflash really woke up her sled..and it RIPS..

the clutching is pretty simple..depends on your altitude..replace your springs every season for sure..

you should be running 19/42 gearing for sure..its perfect for that monster..
running the 64/42.46 helix in her secondary with red/black spring and 2 derlin washers (1 on each side of the spring)

if you need more help, send me a PM..

most importantly, have your primary BALANCED AND SHIMMED for the 3211115 belt..its a must if you wanna keep your crank..

thats a great sled, set it up and RIDE IT HARD!!

check my sig for my wifes sled build ;)

Hey guido thanks, yes your right I'll just have it switched over to the new belt i was just bein lazy by not wanting to bother with it since i have not been really having troubles with it but man blowin a crank and thats gonna leave a mark....Ya once i got used to that sled ive really enjoyed just beating on it lol...and yes ive loved checkin out yer wifes sled that thing rocks i dunno if ill get that far b4 i end up buyin a newer dragon, i can dream anyway....
