05 summit upgrading to 162"

Upgrading my 144" 2005 Summit to a 162". Should I get new rails or just extensions?

Also going from 2" paddle with 2.5" pitch to a 2.25" paddle with a 3" pitch.
What size 3" pitch drive sprocket do I need to accomadate clearance?

thanks for the input bub!

Extension

I went from 144 to 159 last year. I used MMP extensions and their 9" 2 wheel inside kit. Has worked very well and cheaper than new rails. Pic of it on last page of "show your REV" I also went to 9 tooth drivers same 2.52 pitch. You won't regret it

Extension

Matt,

I used my stock heat exchanger. I got my tunnel extension from SLP. I bought the 144 to 162 extension and it looks factory. The most difficult part is grinding the factory rivets out so that you can put the new extension on. I have had zero issues with cooling.

I went with iceage rails and van amberge tunnel ext 151 to 162 they custom make for your stock heat exchanger to your track length. there is ppics of it on the second page under (upgrades almost done before and after pics) or and a post in here about wanting to see tunnel extentions.
