05 Summit 800 DPM Delete?

I know guys have done it. What did you plug off? What jet sizes afterward?

I have been fighting a really weard RPM surge. Tried just about everything exept removing the DPM?

Here is what I have done so far. New pistons and rings, new clutch bushings including new spring cap,new clutch springs, (primary and secondary), changed pin weights, new plugs, new plug wires, new plug caps, jetted leaner, then jetted richer.
Compression 145 both sides. Checked fuel lines.

Runs great exept WOT while excellerating.

I had the same problem

I had the same problem at WOT and I ended up fixing it by replacing ALL the vacuum lines that go to the MPEM. One had a reeeaally small hole in. Give it a try, at least you will only be out a few bucks if it doesn't work and you will have eliminated another possibility.:D

i had a similar problem on 02 800 but it was hard starting sometimes also. i also put in new pistons rings cleaned carbs replace some worn parts in the clutch and what final fixed it is that one of the pedals on the vforce reed cracked a corner off.

Toy 4,
Forgot to say, I tried that also. Changed from v-force to a new set of stock doo reeds.

I am running #390 mains and #20 pilots from 7000ft to 11000ft. Stock was 400 mains and 17.5 pilots

Wondering where to start when I do the delete? Don't want to burn it up from being to lean right off the start.

There was a guy over on doo talk that couldn't get rid of the "pipe surge" the usual way, a new MPEM cured it. Anyone close with an MPEM you could try?
