05 summit 1000 bog ?

buddy has a 05 summit 1000 which just started giving him problems.
ideles fine and runs 1/2 trottle o.k. but when he goes between half and full he says it bogs out . any help would be appreciated, thanks

Update to 07 mapping or if that's done check and adjust your e-rave cables.

Need more info. How many miles? Modded or stock? Full of fuel or less than half full?

700 miles. 1/2 tank of fuel. stock sled except for a can.

does it have all the updates, does it have the new fuel set up in the tank, they do have a hair of a bog in the mid range when the 2 injectors kick into 4injectors, kind of like 2 barrel 4 barrel but you shouldnt notice it too much unless you are exactly at that same speed, normally just go on thorough it<bog>,

there are possible solutions, 1st check all relays 2nd you will have to hook up to a dealers system check and it is either the fuel pump or the tps sensor. Is the check engine light flashing?

yeh I don't know if it has all the updates or not. he bought the sled about 3 or 4 months ago on ebay . he's put probably 150 to 200 miles on it and didn't seem to have a problem, then went out the next day and said he can't get past half throttle. is there a way to tell if it has the updates?

No way to tell unless you take it to a Doo shop and have them hook it up to their computer. Also, I have one of these sleds, and even with the software updates which made it run better (still pulling 8200rpm's in the powder) it still leaves a black trail of soot on the snow. it is easy to tell where I have been!!)

Mine was doing this last year sometimes. I took my TB rack off and found it was coated with belt dust. I cleaned it all out and reeds and now runs fine. I have the 07 updates as well. I had Felker do his clutching with a team roller as well and now it runs better than ever. 8300 rpm climbing in powder.

mine was loose and sled would cut out at 6000 rpm
