05 rt 1000 still having problems

When you push the start button e - raves don't cycle
when you rev it up on a stand they never move
sled starts miss firing at about 5500
engine light on
checked all wiring and plugs
want to ride tomarow need to get it running

have you checked your battery? Do you have electric start?
If you don't you should never hit the start button.
Have you had all the updates?

I'd vote to try a new battery first,, Fired mine up tonight for the first time this season, Battery was weak last year so this fall is was pooched,, started and ran with only one prime down the plug hole,,,, then it openned the eraves and wouldn't close them. Hit reverse and it stalled cause the valves were open,,, hit the button got things reset and it did the reverse thing alright,,, but when I hit the start button the thing beeps and flashed the battery symbol untl I pull the DSS,,, My 2Amp charge shows a fault and won't try to charge the battery (crappy Walmart charger,,,) did this last year, but I rode it for 1/2H and it woke up the battery and ran all season. I'll have a new battery for the first trip west. They do really stupid things with a weak battery. My battery (original) is a Yuasa YT4L-BS. If it's not the battery, have the dealer read the code as to why the engine light is flashing,,, Maybe a connector is disconnected,,,

I hit the start button everytime I start the machine and have never had a problem...(knock on wood)

I dont know have ele start either....

You have to hit the start button to get everything going...thats how you start the SDI's

Sounds like a sticky relay, sometimes swapping them or giving them a little tap on a flat hard object will get them freed up. Or pop the plastic off and clean the contact, or replace and use some dialectric grease on terminals.

And all other suggestions: Battery

I always just pull the rope. First pull cycles and wakes up eveything up; second pull starts it. I tried pushing the button first, and it still seemed to start on the second pull either way. I just bought it this summer; I was under the impression that either way was fine.

Sorry--I am with BossRev---No need to hit the start button---Half the time when I have hit the start button I end up losing a plug to fuel fouling. If I just pull start it--second pull every time.
Dead or weak battery will cause lots of different problems for sure.

Anything else--take it in and have your dealer read the codes--otherwise you are just chasing your tail.
