-900 RMK's and Fusions are just worth less than the average sled because of all the problems associated with them. To run one of these sleds, you should be mechanically capable, because there is usually alot of maintenance and repairs. There are a few people out there who have lots of trouble free miles on a 900 RMK, but the majority of us who own one have spent considerable time and money getting them "right"

Looking quickly at dude's list of upgrades, there is some stuff that we consider "must have's" that is missing.

Here is some reading for you to do if you want to know more about the 900's:
2005 900 AND 2006 900/700 Read before you buy

What it boils down to for these 900's is that they can be a decent deal for a mechanically inclined sledder who doesn't mind wrenching, because they typically sell for cheap. $5000 just isn't cheap for this sled. That sled in Canada would sell for about $3000 to $3500..... even less in the US I believe.

Don't get me wrong... I love mine, the torque this motor produces is addicting. But if the average Joe had to go through what I have gone through to keep if running well to this point... they would likely have given up. Not a sled for the kind of person who takes their machine to a shop for repairs.

Maybe one of you 900 guys is the US can tell us what the stock-ish 9's are typically going for in price?

3000 to 3500 in good shape. Maybe slightly more if they have a TM1 or TM3 in them or custom suspension.

too much money for a stock 900.

and if its your first sled...i would NOT get it.

get an 07 RMK 700, or an M8

If you get an m8 plan on buying a taller seat for it. The stock seat sucks if you have to actually sit on it and ride down the trail, unless you have super short legs.

That is too much money. It does have some good upgrades but it is a high price. I can find them from 2800-3500 that are in pretty good shape. If you buy one for 3 grand you can drop 2k into it and have a sled completely set up for you for the same price as that one.

900

$5000 is what they book for but that's wayyyy too much. Book doesn't mean jack!!

I paid $2700 last may for mine in Tahoe CA. It had 909 miles on it and was in flawless condition with all updates. It was stock with the exception of the SLP can. I had a choice between 3 of them at the time in that price range and all within the same milage range too. I picked this one because it had the least miles and it was cosmetically the best. Good luck!!

Big John

Tooo much $$$ but if you can get down to around 3500 it's what they go for now maybe 3995 off a dealer......if they took it in on trade.
Hell what's the worst that could happen?..................................lol
