Anyone bought the new superceded primary. Went from an 0746-140 which come to find out was a 8.5" to a 0746-146 which is a 8.25. Seems to have thrown my clutching all off. Couldn't get rpm at all with the new clutch. Didn't realize when I put it on the difference in diameter. Used to be running 70 gram weights with the old clutch. I'm now at 68's and still only getting 7600 tops. Anyone else had to deal with this. Am I going to have to get a 10.4 secondary just to get back to where I used to be? Do the diameter #'s really make that much difference all the way through....start of engagement to full out? Any experience or thoughts welcome!

Yes the 8.5 is no longer, but the 8.25 should not affect your cam weight. Just your shift out mph

I just went from the 8.5 to the 8.25 about a month ago when my stock clutch threw a weight. The 8.25 hits the same exact revs as the old primary did, 8000 RPM. I got new weights and spring with the new clutch. I would check for other problems than the new clutch. Alignment? Power Valves?
