05 m7 efi 153"

Guys, newbie here with a question. I have the opportunity to purchase from a friend a 2005 ARTIC CAT M7 EFI W/153" TRACK, with only 900 miles on it. It is in brand new looking condition as his wife was very easy on the sled. Questions I had are does this sled perform very well? Is there anything to look out for with this year/sled? I appreciate your input and answers.

Thx
Ken

Fu@$%kin grab it and run or Ill fone him up and Ull lose the sale!! Good price . Youll have to do a few small things to get a lil more performance outta it but very cheap. Some venting, aftermarket secondary kit, lightweight can, HRP bracket for rear suspension. What was yer buddies #?

LOL! Yeah, let me get you that number... What kind of venting does it need? To the airbox? He said the only two "mods" he had done is 8" wheels and a lite performance can... I have read about the HRP bracket. So how does this sled perform? Last sled I owned was a ?yr? John Deer Sport Fire 440, haha... It seemed pretty quick in the day.... By the way, I am 6'3" and about 215lbs....

Put the hrp brackets on the rails and go ride. That sled will run with any of them and if your last sled was a JD440, it's going to take you places you would never have believed possible. The sled runs best stock with a can, just like it is.

Yeah if you have the loot go with timbersled intake also. I run this on both of my M's............

you might check on the track, if it is a challenger or an A20. some debate on this but in a nutshell the challenger was a better all around track the the A20 more just for pow. I like the A20 in hill climb straitend and lightly ported. you love this sled!

That sounds like a good buy to me!

I'm not sure how much you want to spend for changes to the sled but, right after the HRP rail mounts for the rear skid ($100), I'd put a 153" Power Claw on that sled and never look back.

Depending on what track it has, for a challenger you should get $220+ for it. Rexburg Motorsports has 153" Power Claws for $520. So, the new and absolutely amazing track could cost you less than $300.

Good Luck and keep us posted!
