05 M7 Dives to left side

I keep having problems with my 2005 M7 diving to the left side. For example, when I'm riding on a trail, the sled feels like it's leaning to (or slightly lower on) the left. In deep powder, it is MUCH easier for me to side hill with my left side facing uphill (the sled will almost do this by itself). It is also MUCH easier to turn to the left, both on the trail to the steep-n-deep, and in the steep-n-deep. It also seems like when I'm trying to go around a corner (on the trail) FAST (a compression turn), if it is a right turn, the sled will tip over to the left side. Compression turning to the left requires NO effort. I had this problem during the 05-06 season, the dealer corrected it, and now it's back. Of course, the dealership was sold, and the new maint. dept. can't find my old records.

For the conditions, the sled is pretty much factory, other than a sno-pro air box, some minor clutching (can't remember off the top of my head). I ride 6,000-9,000 feet...sometimes 10-11 if I can get to Cooke. I weigh 195 and am 6'2", so I don't think that I don't have the problem of not enougth weight to throw around this machine.

As for how it runs, I feel great (other than this f-in leaning problem)! Of course I get bog from the snow coming in and covering the screen on the intake, duct tape fixes that. On a flat trail I hold 8060 RPM, on a climb, I seem to hold 7400-8000 RPM. At my elevation, it seems like I can high mark or come pretty close to a couple of my buddies 900 Mountian Cat.

For what I've done so far to correct this problem:
At the start of the 06-07 Season, the dealer, under warranty, replaced the left side suspension, including the shock, and both A-arms, from what I can remember. They also did some other stuff, but I can't remember what.

At first I thought it might have been a shock problem (Fox Float shocks come on the Ltd edition). However, both hold 75 psi. I also had the dealer look at both shocks, and they "said" they are fine (of course my warranty was on it's last month; maybe if I bring them back now, they will be bad).

I have inspected my A-arms, and I see some rust (what I assume are stress points, but am hoping is normal). All of the bushings look fine. When I tip my sled over and release most of the pressure from the Fox Float shocks, both sides seem to move freely and equally. The shocks take equal effort to bring back to 75 psi. I have tried running 100 psi in the left and 75 psi in the right, but that does not seem to make a difference. As a side note, the handle bars are pointed turning slightly right when the skis are straight (an injury from 05).

This is a very un-nerving problem as it makes riding EXTREMELY difficult. I can barely sidehill (with my right side facing up hill). It also makes riding dangerous and expensive because my sled will unexpectedly roll to the left when making right turns (new hood).

PLEASE HELP!!!!

i had an o6m7 and it seemed to lean to the left as well...the conclusion i came to was that it was the centrifugal forces of the clutches when the motor is wound...not sure if it's true but it sure sounds good...my 08m8 feels fine.

There is more weight on the left side of the sled, since it has the Diamond drive and clutches on that side. The right side only has the can. Most people run their left shock a little tighter than their right to try and compensate for this.

I'm concerned because it was a problem when I first purchased the sled, then the dealer fixed the problem (it ran great for over a year), and now the sled is doing the diving again.

The pto side weighs approx. 23 lbs. heavier than the mag side, if you're running a can...this increases a few more pounds.
Check ski alignment as well as camber of the ski. The sled must have been damaged for the a-arm to have been replaced, somethings probably out.
Also wouldn't hurt to look at skag, maybe its angled off to one side.
Just a few things that pop in my mind.
You got a nascar sled...only makes left hand turns!!!
Maybe sell it to an oval tracker!
Good Luck

Well, after talking with the dealer in Missoula again, they have noted that this has been an issue since I've bought the sled. They've agreed to take it in on warranty and look at it. I'll most what they find.
