05 KK EFI fuel tank replacement

I replaced the fuel tank because of a leak. Sled will not start but will run if I pour gas into the cylinders. No electric start. Do I need to prime the intank fuel pump somehow? Should fuel spirt from the top gastank line towards the engine when I pull the starter rope? My first seld and it's a challenge. Could my injectors be plugged?

If you have a little 9 volt battery you can hook it to the wires going to the fuel pump and let it run until it is returning fuel into the tank. The pump is electric so you you should be getting gas squirting out the line when you pull it over. You may want to reach in the tank and make sure your smart valves are not stuck closed. You can also run the pump in reverse with the 9 volt battery to pop the valves open.

9v

Tried the 9v tonight. I hear it activate the pump but it acts as if 9v isn't enough to turn the pump. It engages meagerly and stops. 12v ?
Will I damage the pump if I hook a car battery to it?

DON'T HOOK CAR BATTERY TO IT!!!! 9 volts should turn it over. If it is stopping then the internal mechanism is bad. Reverse the poles and it should clear it out for a bit, but even if it starts again at this point it will fail for good soon.

I think maybe you found your problem.
