05 head on a 06?

Will a 05 head work on a 06 900?

if i were you is goto a place like cheap snow parts and look up the number for an 05 head then look up the number for an 06 head and see if they match.

apparently if you have a red 05 head, it is the same as the 06, but if you have the gold head they are different. dont know if its just a color difference or not, but the reds have the same part #, and the gold is different.

the 05 and 06 use the same cylinder head, the gold version was just an anniversary edition for 2005 and is ALOT more $$.
