05 900 RMK shaft?

yes, that is a 2005 shaft, a bit rusty. Keep in mind that you will need to change drivers unless you are running an old 2.52 pitch track

Where can a guy get these drivers... i have a 05 900 shaft coming and will need to change the drivers, and should i order the bearing from polaris or go to napa... first year on a pro and just having this shaft as a back up just in case... i'm running stock track ..155 i see slp has the drivers but says something about rail modification...whats the deal with that. I need all the help i can get on this one guys. i also know where there is another 05 900 shaft if anyone is interested.

SLP sells the wahl drivers. you need to trim the suspension rails because the new drivers line up with the rails. you will also need an anti stab roller kit, slp sells those too.

trim just the tips or actuall cut the rails shorter... and i think the option is just a 8t driver is this correct. sorr guys, never had to do this on m kitty, but reall like the pro just getting the 05 setup for reserve...hope i dont reall need it

Avid products also makes drivers the only companies I know of making drivers for this app. is wahl bros and avid. Not that I know much, but I do know this!
Avid makes them specific for the 2005 900 shaft in 7t,8t & 9t w/ 2.86 pitch
Wahl bros makes them for any polaris spline shaft in 8t only w/ 2.86 pitch.
Some say there is a difference not only in length but also in diameter
between 2005 and 2006-10 polaris spline shaft. I have not confirmed this.
Wahl bros makes anti stab kit w/ instructions for install on there web site.
Avid makes anti-stab kits as well.

drivers

i have just finished doing this on my 13, used the 05 900 driveshaft and 09 dragon stock take off drivers they pressed right on and it bolted right in. i used all bearings off my 13 and everything fell right into place no problems i only had to put a standard fine thread 3/8 bolt to bolt on the lower belt sproket i would think that these drivers should be available as people take them off and put on the aftermarked ones like i did on my turbo so i had them on the shelf already and i have another set except the center driver ifanyone needs some

i would be interested if i could get my hands on a center driver also any ideas who or where i could find the whole set?

the 05 shaft is 1/2 inch shorter than the 06 threw 10 shaft but the diameter is the same the drivers fit those years, the 10 11 12 pro and pro r diameter is different and the drivers are different

i just bought a driveshaft and drivers off ebay....or an 08 dragon...between everything i needed i at 250 bucks. 12 shaft = 500+ i'm still ahead and this is just for back up

I know, I bought the 08 just for the drivers. I have a 05 shaft to press them on to so I don't need to trim my rails.

shafts

i have both shafts and i looked at them very close and i beleive if you take the dragon shaft to a shop with a lathe and tooling they could cut the weld at the pto side and take the pto welded end off shorten the shaft by 1/2 inch and weld it back on true it would work just fine the drivers would be already pressed on and in the correct place and it would bolt right in and there is pleny of room to cut it down for this app, i think if i was a guy out there with a 06 threw 10 shaft with the 286 drivers on it this is a viable option. just some info i have looked at to help the guys out there get a good fix for the problem. and fyi the setup is only .6 pounds different in weight just over 1/2 a pound

I know this is way old but seeing if you remember.... did you change your pitch from 2.52 to 2.86?

Yes I used 286 pitch drivers off a dragon driveshaft. I still have the shaft with drivers on it if you need one.
