04 summit 9 tooth extro's hitting rail tips. What's the solution?

We installed a 2.313" challenger track and some 9 tooth wahl bro's extro's on our 03.5-04 summit x 800 and the extro drivers are hitting the rail tips. What should we do? Cut Rails? Is an anti stab kit needed? If so, what one would you recommend?

Any suggestions?

Thanks all

rail tips

I just put a 159" x 16" x 2.3" track on my '04 rev with 9 tooth extros and had to move my front suspension mounting holes back 1" on the tunnel. I also drilled new holes 1" forward on the rails for both the rear suspension mount and the rear shock cross bar to keep the geometry the same. Then I removed the front plastic rail tips and ground the tips down approximately 1/2"(there are wear depth slots in the end that I ground until they were flush with the rest of the tip). This left approximately 1/8" of plastic to cover the aluminum rail tips. I rounded the plastic tips to deflect the bottom side of the track if it came in contact with the end of the rails. This procedure allowed for approximately 1/2" of clearance between the extros and the rail tips when at their closest point.

had the same problem and i didnt need to move anything. just took the plastic ends off and cut the rails flush and rouned it off good. and make sure you round the hyfax. ive rode it 3 times and jumped it pretty good and havent hit once!

We moved the skid back about an inch. There were pre-drilled holes on the braces inside the tunnel. I hope everything handles like it did before or better.

i just moved my skid back an inch. holes are already drilled in the steel bracket inside your tunnel and drop brackets....but i have 8t drivers
