about to reinstall the chaincase cover, not sure if i should just clean the surfaces and install the gasket dry or use rtv on both surfaces and then install with gasket?

also i am going to use atf, any problems with not useing polaris gear oil?

thanks

Gasket

At best I put it only where the ends of the gasket meet. Yours is a O ring I believe so those go in without RTV. They should "settle" after the cover goes on giving an even seal. A light film of oil will aid in them settling in. Not sure about the ATF, usually 30 wt works pretty good.

thanks for quick replys
