Hey, for all of you riding the older REV's, check your carb boots. Mine was idling a little high this last weekend and when I got back home I found that both of my carb boots were in various stages of delamination. I am lucky I did not burn it down.

This is a well known defect on the REV's.
Swap out the boots with the 2007 boots (BRP fixed the problem in '07) or go with V Force III reeds and boots if you're made of money;)

My sons was doing the same thing, we ended up putting on boyesen reeds. We'll have our first ride on it this weekend and see how it does.

I just bought a brand new set of VFIII reeds and one of the boots had a crack in it. Are they known for this or were some of them defective?? Still waiting for the replacement set, but the shop I bought them from is screwing around.

I had to replace the boots on my budys o4 800x they were $60 i didn't think that was to bad compared to $300 for new valves. The 04 summit still rocks so why change it. That is for us flat landers.

+2 I found the Boots at Steel Dreams in burlington for $70 a piece.
Where can I get them for only $60?

The 800 reeds are a great quality part but the boots suck until '07.
You won't gain anything noticable by replacing the reeds with an aftermarket set except a lighter wallet;)
