04 rev adrenaline 800 and no reverse? The button is there and lights up?

I just bought it and am wondering if they made this model with out reverse. Also my buddy has an 07 xrs when he starts it it beeps and mine doesn't. ????????

Not the original engine? Maybe from a zx chassis pre RER , I dont think they beeped.

They do beep.. Load and annoying.. So when you push the button nothing happens? no drop of RPM?

The sled does nothing when you start it or hit the button no beep or rpm change. And I dont think the motor has been swapped. I just put a new top end in it and nothing appeared to be incorrect. I was told that the mpem on models with reverse had an extra port but I dont really know for sure if thats true. I have always been a polaris guy and done all of my own work so this skidoo stuff is pretty new to me.

I hope someone can help? I was thinking of chasing the wires from the switch to figure out how they work? My friend has an aftermarket reverse button which only has two wires to control the button. I need imput to help can anyone help?

You could probably call a dealer and give them the #s off the mpem box and count the terminals.

Does it have elec start? If it does does the switch work for the starter?

Have to pulled the controls open to check for wire connection?

Could be something as simple as a switch or a selenoid.

Does the dash rer light up? You said the button lights up. All the time or after you push it?

My 07 summit x won't go into reverse unless the battery is hooked up and charged.

The r button stays lit the whole time the sled is running. And there is no electric start. I compared my rev to my friends 05 rev which is the same model his mpem
looks the same as mine along with everything else that I looked at. Also the switch is missing the cover. Maby im just being stupid about the whole thing the problem is I dont have the money to buy a new switch hoping that was the problem.

look at the choke lever thread. I posted some links to a few sled salvage yards. Inexspenziv parts. Might save you a few bucks. A working part is a working part new or used.

I talked to kevin which owns Phatties super shop and he said it might be the relay so i replaced it today w no luck and also got a wire diagram and chased the wires from the switch and then jumped the two where they plug in at the steering post with still no luck. And upon further inspection I realized that the sled doesnt beep because the deal that beeps has been removed, someone hated it? I borrowed my friends beeper and plugged it in to my sled and it beeped when I started it up but still nothing when I hit reverse?
