04 Rev 800 TRA clutch parts cost $400!

Ramps, rollers, and buttons for the clutch cost $400 to replace, what does a new clutch cost? I almost s&*t when they rung up the total. I have never had to replace them before. The hard facing was chunking off on the ramps and the rollers had some bad spots.

Yes I clean my clutch every 4-5 rides, I mean take off the sled, take apart and clean in hot soapy water and blow dry. But I have never taken the rollers off or removed the arms...they always seemed to move free. The last ride of last season it didnt shift so good and wouldnt run up to rpms. Tore it apart this year and one roller had a flat spot that took out the ramp...I got away cheap compared to you ..60$ for a roller??? Now when I clean the clutch I will spend the time to take the pins and arms out and clean them also. My dealer showed me the cost for just the two sheaves and goveners cup...1200.00 bucks WOW ...Dino

That figures. As I was walking out the door with my $400 baggy of parts and a receipt I was hoping had a mistake somewhere, I was wishing I had taken the time to check into pricing on this stuff. I called two dealers that were the closest to me and their prices were about the same so I figured I was just stuck with it. Atleast my sled is ready and waiting for the next new storm to lay down the pow. I'm broke but ready to ride!!!!!
