04 900 1m Flooding issue - Need help!

My 1m 900 carb has been flooding (crankcase fills with fuel when parked) ever since I changed the oil pump. I have checked all the lines for tightness or leaks. Before I change the floats/needle assy's ($70 each!!) I wondered if anyone else has had a similar issue/fix? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

flooding

If it is just the side of the crankcase with the impulse line it sounds like a leaking diaphragm in the fuel pump. If the engine sits long enough fuel will leak through to the other side of the crank as well so it may be hard to tell. Is it possible you connected one of the lines to the fuel pump wrong? Another possibility, but I don't see why it would start after an oil pump change, is a sticky inlet needle in a carb or possibly a small piece of something stuck in it that won't let it shut off completely. I have yet to see an inlet needle in the flatslide carbs go bad, but I guess there is always a first one.

Mine used to do that, Took the carbs off and found one needle was not seating properly, could blow air through when needle was seated. De-dirtized it and haven't had a problem since then. I would start there. If not there like said above, check fuel pump. Take it apart inspect diaphram.

02 900 mod

Had a bad fuel pump last season, started bogging and when I checked the plugs they were wet. Pulled it over hard a couple of times and fuel was shooting out the plug holes. Yanked the fuel pump and it had a casting flaw which put a hole in the diaphram, runs great now.
