04 800 water pump belt tention

Just got a new water pump belt. Sure doesn't feel very tight. Anyone know how to check this with a specific amount of weight or something?

there is no way to change it so if it new you should be good unless your waterpump shaft is wobbly

The belt is geared so you don't need to tighten it up like a fan belt on your car. It is impossible to tighten it up, besides.

Yea, it's more of a service limit thing. Measure it and if it's too much replace the belt.

If a new belt is too lose then you better look at pulley wear and water pump shaft problems.
