04 800 121 track

just wondering how tall of a track can i go on the 121 without hurting anything. its got a 1 inch track with stud but i want something a lil bit taller to play around in some deeper snow. or should i just go out to the 136 skid and put a two inch paddle on it? i run mostly trails but theres the occasional field or whatever i play in. thanks for the help

For what it's worth. I have a friend that runs a 121 by 2" paddle on a polaris 600 tripple and all it does when in the deep is dig a trench to china. It has the power just like your rev has the power but without the floation you have nothing to gain IMO. So with that out of the way I would go to the 136" by say 1.75", then you would have the best of both worlds.:becky:

okay so im def leanin toward the 136. but how hard is it going to swap in a 136. i can get the full skid minus shocks for 300 off a 05 renegade. can i still use my shocks that i have on the 121? and do i need to put a tunnel extension on?? it all looks easy and simple i just wanna get everything all ready to rock before i jump into it lol

Should be able to use your shocks with that skid which is the best way to go.
As far as the extension yes put one on it and put your flap back on beleive it or not that flap helps witht the cooling. Snow hits the flap then falls on top of the track in time for it to be thrown up on the cooler thus keeping a long track sled with a short track cooler, cooler while running down the trail.

you can use the same skid just get rail extensions that cost $100 then throw the 136 track on. I didn't put a tunnel extension on mine i just put a different slow flap on (18 wheeler mud flap) and everything worked great. My way was the cheap way for sure but no need to dump a bunch of money.

ive decided to go with the 136 rail extension with a 1.75 track and for looks i got a tracks usa tunnel extension so it looks good thanks for the advice and savin me some big bucks!!

i can get a cheap set of 136 rails out of a 05 renegade but will it work with my 121 by just swapping the rails?? will they just bolt in or is there more too it then im thinking??
