Hello was wondering if I could get some advice please? I am looking at a 04 600 hawk ,new never rode, would like to know if these are good machines? What updates need done, what to look out for and what needs changed. Plus any tips to do. This will be ridden at around 1000 feet in fields and some trails (or if they are good on trails), not alot of powder around here.Plus are these stable enough to trail ride (read something about ski and degree)? If you could help that would be great ? Thank you for your time.....

'04 600's need updates: the piston rings(chrome flaking off the face of the ring), airbox(replace with pods and rejet) and snow flap(for cooling, the little one doesn't hold enough snow on the trail) are the critical points and the upright shocks should be revalved and re-sprung to '05 specs for anyone less than 300 lbs.
edit to add: trail adapter(brings ski closer to machine) and snowtracker kit(extra runners for the ski) will help with the trail manners

The 600 is a short track> Are the rings cover by bombardier for recall? Plus all these parts you speak of snow flap, pods air filters and trail adapter,snow tracker kit can they be purchased from ?
you can get everything from outhers on this form!!! just buy it before someone else dose! like me!
