My bro has an 02 or an 03 summit zx chassis. It's an 800 159 track and wants to gear it down a tooth on the top gear. Was wondering if anyone has done that and if it was beneficial. Also does he need to run a shorter chain then to. Any help would be great.

What ratio are we trying to get to here? The difference between changing the top or bottom gear has to do with the gear ratio that you are trying to get correct? What would gear are needed to get the next lower ratio? I am assuming that 19/43 is stock? Hey Madcarson, how did your 19/45 work? You are going for more track speed? I am trying to get this ratio thing down.
