Hey all, Wondering if this is normal.
When riding I can hear the brake rotor rattling a bit. Dragging the brake stops the noise. If you grab the rotor and try to turn it forwards/backwards there is a good bit of slop. Is this normal? Is my rotor about to fall off??? Going to try to see whats going on in there tonight...but figure someone here must know.
Thanks!

What's happening is the woodruff key that keeps the rotor housing from spinning on the jackshaft has opened the hole a little bit. Allowing the rotor housing to rotate a little bit. I'm not going to say its normal but I have the problem on my sled, my buddy has it and I've heard others have it too. I changed the key last year in hopes to resolve it but that fix didn't work too long. The rotor won't come off.

Keep the chain tension per specification but you'll have to deal with the rattle unless you change the jackshaft and/or rotor housing. $$$

Cool thats what I was thinking...is it the shaft key slot or the rotor hub that gets sloppy? Guessing the key is harder material than both of those...
