03 summit 800 HO won't start

I have a 03 summit 800 that ran at first but backfired so i figured old gas so i put new gas in it rode it very little it started to back fire and wouldn't come out of it. It would idle but as soon as i tried to rev it up it backfired and eventually it quit running. I cleaned the carbs and it still doesn't run it has spark,compression, and fuel. It backfires just pulling it over. Any ideas? I'm thinking the timing is off.
Any ideas what is wrong?

is your DESS connected correctly. The sled will act like that if its not.

I wiped it out and put it on several times, is there anyway to bypass it to test?

No, you can't bypass it. If everything looks fine it could be the MPEM. Find another sled you can try there MPEM and tether to see.

You didn't take anything out or apart did you?

No, nothing has been taken apart. We just replaced the relay when we got the sled out because we lost the headlight and dash lights but they work now. Do we need a matching sled for the mpem? We also have a 06 rev 800 carburated if that would work. The local dealer said it could be a flywheel key, coil, or computer but they are 2 weeks out to look at it.

I don't think the 06 would work. You need from 03 to 05. It has to do with the plugins.

I highly doubt its the flywheel key or coil. If it was it would be one of those rare occasions.

Spark plugs aren't fouled are they. Try heating them up with a torch. How old is the gas?
